BlackSoil, an alternative credit platform, has raised Rs 100 crore through a rights issue from existing investors and promoters. The investment, the fourth capital infusion in eight years, brings the total equity raise to over Rs 250 crore. The company, backed by investors like Allcargo Logistics and Navneet Education, has also secured debt financing of over Rs 1,700 crore. BlackSoil offers customised credit solutions to growth companies, NBFCs, and MSMEs across sectors, with a portfolio including investments in high-growth businesses like OYO and Udaan. It has disbursed over Rs 5,000 crore across 214 deals and deployed Rs 1,650 crore across 63 deals in 2023 alone, according to co-founder Ankur Bansal.
