Britain has cautioned its citizens traveling to Sweden about potential terrorist attacks, following Quran burnings by anti-Islam activists that have sparked anger among Muslims. The British Foreign Ministry noted that Swedish authorities have thwarted some planned attacks and made arrests. The advisory urges vigilance, as terrorists are likely to target places frequented by foreigners. Sweden’s National Security Advisor Henrik Landerholm confirmed heightened threats after the burnings and cited incidents such as attacks on Sweden’s embassies in Iraq and Lebanon, along with a shooting at a consulate in Turkey. The US government has also issued a similar warning about possible terrorist attacks in Sweden.
