A section of Highway 33 in California has been dedicated to the memory of Indian-origin police officer Ronil Singh, who was fatally shot by an illegal immigrant in 2018. The newly named “Corporal Ronil Singh Memorial Highway” honors Singh’s service and sacrifice. The ceremony unveiling the memorial sign took place following a community event, the Tunnel to Towers 5K walk and run. Singh’s family, including his wife and son, as well as local officials and colleagues from the Newman Police Department, were in attendance. The dedication was a testament to Singh’s role as a national hero and his impact on the community.
