Capria Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in the Global South, has closed its India Opportunity Fund at Rs 153 crore after achieving a full-cash exit from portfolio company Awign. The sale of Awign to Japanese conglomerate Mynavi Corporation has not disclosed the deal’s value. Managing Partner Surya Mantha stated that the exit from Awign yielded over a 7x multiple on invested capital for Capria’s India Fund II. Additionally, the now-closed India Opportunity Fund, which also invested in Awign, will return over 20% of the invested capital to its limited partners.
