On Saturday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned a man in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly leaking the UGC-NET-2024 exam paper on Telegram. The suspect, who had attended coaching in Kota, Rajasthan, was interrogated by the CBI’s anti-corruption branch at Padrauna Kotwali. The CBI registered an FIR following a complaint from the Union education ministry after the exam, held on June 18, was found on the darknet and being sold for Rs 5-6 lakh. Inputs from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit suggested that the exam’s integrity might have been compromised, prompting the investigation.
