Central Depository Services (India) Ltd (CDSL) announced a significant increase in net profit, doubling to Rs 129 crore for the quarter ended March 2024 compared to Rs 63 crore in the same period last year. Total income surged by 86% to Rs 267 crore during the quarter. For the entire fiscal year 2023-24, CDSL reported a net profit of Rs 420 crore, marking a 52% increase from the previous year, with total income reaching Rs 907 crore, up by 46%. CDSL attributed its growth to digital services like ASBA, e-AGM, and eDIS, aimed at enhancing capital market efficiency and security. The company recommended a final dividend of Rs 19 per equity share for FY24, along with a special dividend of Rs 3 per equity share, subject to shareholder approval.
