The Central Bank of India plans to auction 94 acres of Wadia Realty land in Thane to recover loans owed by Go Airways, with a reserve price of Rs 1,965 crore. Scheduled for July 22, the auction aims to recoup a portion of the Rs 3,918 crore debt. Wadia Realty, serving as the mortgagor and corporate guarantor for the airline, faces action under the SARFAESI Act. The move follows Go Airways’ bankruptcy filing last year, attributing its $798 million debt to financial creditors, including Central Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, and IDBI Bank.
