In a significant development, the Thiruvananthapuram Additional District and Sessions Court VII framed charges against the accused, Rajendran of Tamil Nadu, in the murder case of Vineetha, a Nedumangad native. The incident occurred two years ago at a private nursery in Ambalamukku. The accused faces charges under Sections 302 (murder), 397 (dacoity), and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, the court permitted the framing of an additional charge under Section 449 (house-trespass in order to commit an offence punishable with death) following the prosecution’s insistence.
