Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an offensive against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, accusing the state administration of imposing a “30% commission” on projects. Modi used the slogan “Tees take kaka, aapka kaam pakka” (30% for kaka means deal done for you, with ‘kaka’ referring to Baghel) to criticize the Congress government’s alleged corruption. He urged people to vote the Congress out in the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly elections in Kanker. Modi also reiterated his claim that the Congress was targeting him because he belongs to the OBC community and discussed issues like corruption in recruitments and nepotism. He promised to fight corruption and emphasized the BJP’s commitment to development and the welfare of the poor, tribals, and the backward population in Chhattisgarh.
