Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company posted a profit after tax of Rs 762 crore for the September quarter, marking a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. The net profit for the half-year ending in September also saw a 32% rise, reaching Rs 1,489 crore. Quarterly net income reached Rs 2,367 crore, with a 39% growth, while the net income for the first half stood at Rs 4,493 crore. The company reported strong disbursement growth of 47% in the quarter, driven by increased demand and a pickup in replacement demand in the auto sector, particularly in vehicle finance, where disbursements grew by 38%. The loan against property (LAP) business also experienced a 42% growth, disbursing Rs 3,192 crore.
