Colgate-Palmolive (India) has reported a 35.7% increase in its third-quarter profit, attributing it to robust urban demand and a reduction in expenses. The net profit surged to Rs 330 crore for the quarter ending December 31, compared to Rs 243 crore in the same period a year earlier. The company’s sales rose by 8.2% to Rs 1,386 crore, primarily driven by the oral care category. The positive results align with the trend of increased sales for consumer goods makers, driven by higher urban consumer income, despite challenges such as elevated prices of essential goods.
