The container ship Dali, involved in the Baltimore bridge accident, had 21 crew members, mostly Indian citizens, onboard. Authorities currently have no plans to disembark the crew, who are maintaining the ship until it’s moved, a process expected to be complex and lengthy. Despite a minor injury requiring stitches, all crew members are in good health and adequately supplied. Little is known about the crew publicly, but Joshua Messick from the Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center has communicated with them, describing them as “rattled” and cautious amid the ongoing investigation. The cause of the collision, which resulted in six deaths, is under investigation, with no timeline for the crew’s departure.
