A New Delhi court has deferred its ruling on the bail petitions of AAP leader Manish Sisodia, facing corruption and money laundering charges linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy irregularities. Special judge Kaveri Baweja set April 30 for the decision after hearing arguments from both sides. Sisodia, also seeking interim bail for election campaigning, saw his plea rendered moot as the regular bail hearing progressed. The CBI and ED accuse him of facilitating irregularities in excise policy modifications, leading to illicit gains diverted to officials. Sisodia, arrested in February 2023, resigned from the Delhi cabinet amidst the allegations.
