The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Jharkhand Minister Alamgir Alam’s personal secretary and his domestic help after recovering over ₹32 crore cash from them. They were taken into custody under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) following overnight questioning. The raid, part of a money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in the state rural development department, led to the recovery of a total of ₹35.23 crore cash. Minister Alam has denied any involvement in the wrongdoing.
