Equity-oriented mutual funds in India experienced a robust inflow of Rs 21,781 crore in January 2024, marking the 35th consecutive month of net inflows, the highest since March 2022. Despite market volatility, factors such as a strong macroeconomic growth outlook and stable earnings sustained investor interest. The Sectoral/Thematic Funds category led with the highest inflows of Rs 4,804.6 crore, while small cap and midcap categories also saw significant flows. Additionally, Multi Asset Allocation, in the Hybrid asset class, witnessed its highest-ever monthly flows of Rs 7,079.5 crore, supported by the launch of three funds.
