Barcelona President Joan Laporta has suggested that the European Super League could potentially kick off next season or by the 2025-26 campaign. However, if it doesn’t materialize by then, the club will need to reassess its plans. Laporta, along with Real Madrid, remains a supporter of the breakaway league. The European Court of Justice ruled in December that UEFA and FIFA breached EU law by preventing 12 clubs from forming a Super League. While some clubs withdrew from the project due to public pressure, Barcelona and Real Madrid have continued to back the idea.
