Assam continues to grapple with floods as heavy rains swell river levels, affecting over six lakh people in 10 districts. Kopili, Barak, and Kushiyara rivers are above danger levels. Nagaon district is worst-hit, with over 2.79 lakh affected, followed by Hojai and Cachar. The death toll since May 28 stands at 15. More than 40,000 displaced persons seek refuge in relief camps. Multiple agencies conduct rescue and relief operations, while road and rail connectivity remain disrupted. Several train services are canceled due to track damage and waterlogging.
