State-run Gas Authority of India Limited (Gail) recorded a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,176.97 crore for Q4 FY23-24, marking a 260.7% increase compared to the same period last year. However, profits slipped by 22% sequentially. Revenue slightly increased by 0.86% year-on-year but decreased by 5.6% sequentially. Despite a 7% decrease in Ebitda, certain segments like natural gas transmission and petrochemicals showed promising performance. Conversely, the natural gas marketing segment saw a decline in Ebit. Overall, Gail reported a 66.7% growth in consolidated net profit for the entire financial year, while revenue dropped by 9.5%.
