Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is expected to grow by at least 8% in the quarter ending March 31. She anticipates a similar year-on-year expansion rate for the entire 2023/24 fiscal year. Sitharaman attributed this growth to improved inflation management and macroeconomic stability. She expressed optimism that the fourth quarter would sustain this momentum, resulting in an average GDP growth of 8% or higher for the fiscal year.
