In anticipation of the Karthika Masam celebrations, police personnel have been stationed to monitor the ghats along the Godavari River in East Godavari district. The precautionary measure aims to prevent any untoward incidents during the holy dip rituals that devotees undertake during Karthika Masam, lasting until December 11. East Godavari SP P. Jagadeesh emphasized the importance of safety, advising devotees to avoid venturing deep into the river and urging caution, especially with children. The police will maintain surveillance at key ghats, including Kotilingala, Pushkar, Markandeya, Gouthami, Rama Padalu, and Gospadalu.
