Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is set to partner with Foxconn to manufacture Pixel smartphones in Tamil Nadu, India. The manufacturing will take place at an old Nokia campus in Sriperumbudur, under Foxconn’s subsidiary Bharat FIH. Google also plans to produce drones through its subsidiary Wing LLC in the state, positioning Tamil Nadu as a significant hub for both electronics and drone manufacturing. This move follows a recent meeting between Google executives and Tamil Nadu officials. The drone market in India is projected to reach $13 billion by 2030.
