The Noida Police have made significant progress in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) fraud case by arresting two Haryana-based “billionaire businessmen” accused of orchestrating a multi-crore revenue loss to the exchequer. Sanjay Jindal and Ajay Sharma, identified as masterminds, allegedly claimed input-tax credit (ITC) fraudulently, causing a revenue loss of around ₹25 crore. Their companies, AS Brownie Metal and Alloys and others, were involved in fraudulent transactions worth over ₹10,000 crore through bogus firms. The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation that has already led to the apprehension of more than two dozen individuals.
