HDFC Bank, the largest private sector lender in India, has announced a 34% year-on-year increase in its standalone net profit for Q3 FY24, reaching Rs 16,373 crore. The bank’s total income on a standalone basis rose to Rs 81,720 crore, compared to Rs 51,208 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. On a consolidated basis, HDFC Bank’s profit increased by 39% to Rs 17,718 crore, with consolidated total income rising to Rs 1,15,015 crore. The bank’s gross non-performing assets (NPAs) witnessed a marginal increase to 1.26% of gross loans, while net NPAs came down to 0.31%.
