Odisha and Jharkhand are experiencing severe heatwave conditions, with temperatures soaring above 40°C in many areas. Jharsuguda in Odisha recorded a high of 43.8°C, while districts like Baripada, Nuapada, and Talcher also sizzled. The Meteorological Centre forecasts a further rise in temperatures over the next few days, with heatwave conditions prevailing till April 29. A red alert has been issued for several districts, urging caution during peak hours. Similarly, Jharkhand faces a heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 40°C in various regions. Forest fires have also increased, prompting authorities to implement preventive measures.
