Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced its plans to acquire an additional 2.2 per cent stake in Ather Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle company. The investment, valued at Rs 124 crore, involves the purchase of additional shares from an existing shareholder. Expected to be completed by July 31, 2024, this move will increase Hero MotoCorp’s stake in Ather Energy, adding to its existing 39.7 per cent ownership. Ather Energy, known for its focus on electric automobile design, manufacturing, and charging infrastructure, reported revenue of Rs 1,753.8 crore in FY24.
