Honda is set to export its mid-sized SUV, Elevate, to Japan, marking the first time a product manufactured by Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) will enter the Japanese market. This strategic decision underscores India’s manufacturing capabilities, positioning it as a key export hub for Honda. The Tapukara-based plant is equipped to meet both domestic and export demands. HCIL introduced the Elevate model in India in September and plans to unveil five SUV models domestically by 2030. Additionally, a battery-electric version of Elevate is expected in the next three years, showcasing Honda’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
