Hyundai Motor India is advancing its electric vehicle (EV) strategy, aiming to introduce five new EV models by 2030, two years earlier than planned. The company will produce its first electric SUV in Chennai by the end of 2024 and expand EV charging stations to 485 by 2030. Hyundai’s plans align with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung’s visit to India, emphasizing the importance of locally tailored EVs and charging infrastructure. Kia India, a subsidiary of Hyundai, will also enter the EV market in 2025 and focus on building charging infrastructure.
