Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) plans to partially start its new facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra, in the second half of FY26, increasing its total manufacturing capacity by 21% to 994,000 units per annum. The company also aims to launch four electric vehicles (EVs) in India, with the Creta EV debuting in Q4 of FY25. The Chennai plant will serve as a hub for EV and SUV production, contributing to a combined annual production capacity of 1,074,000 units when Talegaon is fully operational. HMIL intends to localize its supplier network, focusing on key EV components.
