Hyundai Motor India has reclaimed its position as the second-largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in India, surpassing Tata Motors in March 2024. Hyundai’s domestic sales rose by 5% to 53,001 units, while Tata Motors reported sales of 50,297 units. The resurgence comes after Hyundai briefly lost its position in February. Hyundai’s strong performance, including the launch of the Creta Facelift and robust export growth, solidifies its standing in the market. In contrast, Tata Motors witnessed a decline in commercial vehicle sales but aims for improvement driven by GDP growth and infrastructure projects in the upcoming quarters.
