Structural engineers from IIT Delhi are set to complete an independent assessment within a month of the partial roof collapse at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1 (T1), which occurred on June 28 due to heavy rains. The incident resulted in one death and six injuries. Following the collapse, all T1 flights have been relocated to Terminals 2 (T2) and 3 (T3). Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu has reviewed measures to manage increased passenger traffic at T2 and T3. Investigations by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and a technical committee are ongoing, with operations at T1 suspended until further notice.
