Meenesh Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), outlined plans to elevate India’s global milk production share to one-third by 2030, up from the current 24%. Emphasizing breeding, nutrition, and animal health, Shah stressed the need to enhance productivity to match developed nations. Collaborating with the Government, NDDB focuses on boosting productivity and expanding dairy cooperatives. In Assam, NDDB’s joint venture aims to elevate milk procurement and cooperative engagement. Shah also highlighted efforts to augment solar and renewable energy utilization in dairy operations, ensuring sustainable growth.
