India and Indonesia convened their seventh Joint Defence Cooperation Committee meeting in New Delhi, focusing on elevating cooperation in defence industry, maritime security, and multilateral endeavors. Chaired by Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence Secretary-General Air Marshal Donny Ermawan Taufanto, the meeting emphasized the expanding scope of bilateral defence cooperation. Air Marshal Taufanto also visited prominent Indian defence facilities, including DRDO headquarters, Tata Advanced Systems, and Larsen & Toubro, to explore avenues for enhancing defence industrial capabilities through research and joint production. The nations, bound by a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, share a vision for the Indo-Pacific region and are poised for deeper collaboration in defence.
