The Indian Army has received its first batch of domestically produced man-portable suicide drones, known as Nagastra-1, as reported by The Economic Times. These drones, developed by Economic Explosives Limited (EEL), a subsidiary of Solar Industries, are designed to strike enemy training camps and launch pads with precision, reducing risks for soldiers. With over 75% indigenous content, Nagastra-1 enhances the army’s capability for shallow strikes along the Pakistan and China borders. Equipped with advanced features like abort and recover capabilities, these drones operate effectively in extreme temperatures and high-altitude areas.
