The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) rebuffed China’s efforts to rename locations in Arunachal Pradesh, reaffirming the state’s integral status within India. Responding to China’s release of a fourth list of 30 new names for various places in Arunachal Pradesh, the MEA firmly stated that assigning “invented names” would not change the reality of Arunachal Pradesh’s sovereignty. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh has always been an integral and inalienable part of India, rejecting China’s “senseless attempts” to alter its status.
