Overall public equity fundraising surged by 59%, reaching Rs 1,44,283 crore in 2023. The average retail investor applications increased significantly, reflecting heightened enthusiasm. IPO responses were buoyed by strong listing performances, with average listing gains at 29%. The outlook for 2024 remains robust, with numerous companies awaiting regulatory approval for IPOs.
