The Indian Navy has successfully developed SEBEX 2, an explosive with 2.01 times the lethality of standard TNT, marking a significant advancement in military technology. Developed by Solar Industries, under India’s Defence Export Promotion Scheme, SEBEX 2 promises to enhance the destructive power of bombs, artillery shells, and warheads globally. This high-melting explosive, based on HMX, is part of efforts under the Make in India initiative. Additionally, variants like a more powerful SEBEX and thermobaric explosive SITBEX 1 have also been certified, highlighting India’s strides in military innovation and safety enhancements with SIMEX 4.
