Indian shooters made a strong start at the Hangzhou Asian Games, as the experienced trio of Mehuli Ghosh, Ramita Jindal, and Ashi Chouksey clinched the women’s team silver in the 10m air rifle event. Their combined score of 1,886.0 secured second place, with China breaking an Asian record to claim gold. Ramita Jindal also won an individual bronze in the same event with a score of 230.1 in the finals. China dominated the individual event, securing both gold and silver medals. While India narrowly missed out on gold in the team category, their performance bodes well for their medal aspirations at the Games, with hopes to surpass their previous medal tally.
