Mundra Port, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is one of the world’s largest ports with a 240 million tonne capacity, handling over 155 MMT, constituting nearly 11% of India’s maritime cargo. Since its inception in 1998, Mundra has contributed over Rs 2.25 lakh crore to the exchequer and generated 7.5 crore man-days of employment. Serving as the EXIM gateway for container traffic, it facilitates 33% of India’s container traffic through a dedicated freight corridor, allowing the unique facility of double-stack containers from the northern hinterland to Mundra. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani expressed pride in Mundra’s journey, symbolizing India’s progress.
