India’s net direct tax collections have surged to Rs 14.7 lakh crore by January 10, surpassing 80% of the annual target with a growth rate of 19.4%. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) reported robust expansion, driven by a 26.11% rise in personal income tax inflows, while corporate income tax collections grew by 8.32%. The net direct tax kitty expanded by Rs 1 lakh crore since December 17, reflecting a growth rate of 20.66%. Net collections stand at Rs 14.70 lakh crore, marking a 19.41% increase over the corresponding period last year.
