Indonesia’s football federation (PSSI) is in discussions with Australia regarding a potential joint bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, along with interest from Malaysia and Singapore. FIFA recently invited bids for the 2034 edition from member associations in Asia and Oceania. PSSI President Erick Thohir mentioned that Malaysia and Singapore had expressed interest in joining Indonesia and Australia for the bid. While Football Australia is exploring the possibility, Saudi Arabia has also announced its intention to bid, and FIFA’s deadline for bids is October 31. The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
