American chip maker Intel has partnered with eight electronics manufacturing companies in India to accelerate laptop production, contributing to the government’s initiative to make India an electronic manufacturing hub. The collaboration includes companies like Bhagwati Products, Dixon Technologies, Kaynes Technology, and others, some of which are entering the laptop manufacturing sector for the first time. Intel aims to support the Indian manufacturing ecosystem in meeting both domestic and global laptop demand. This move aligns with the government’s incentive scheme for large electronics, promoting the Make in India initiative and fostering technological progress in the nation.
