An Israeli-owned container ship was reportedly damaged in a suspected drone attack by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Indian Ocean. The US defense official confirmed the attack, stating that the ship incurred minor damage with no reported injuries. Maritime security company Ambrey suggested that the ship, managed by an Israeli-affiliated company, was targeted intentionally. This incident follows the recent seizure of an Israel-linked cargo ship by Yemen’s Iran-backed Huthi rebels. The Huthis, aligned with Iran, have warned of imminent attacks, vowing further maritime actions until Israel ceases its Gaza campaign.
