Israeli airstrikes in Gaza’s Rafah city claimed 22 lives, including 18 children, as the US moved forward with a $26 billion aid package. The strikes targeted areas where many of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents sought refuge, escalating tensions despite international calls for restraint. The House of Representatives approved $9 billion in humanitarian aid for Gaza. Among the casualties were a pregnant woman and her family, along with 17 children and two women from the same family. The ongoing conflict, now in its seventh month, has left over 34,000 Palestinians dead, devastated cities, and sparked regional unrest between Israel, the US, and Iran.
