Israeli fighter jets launched a series of intense night raids, striking 150 “underground targets” in northern Gaza, according to the military. The targets included terror tunnels, underground combat spaces, and additional infrastructure, resulting in the death of several Hamas terrorists. The airstrikes come three weeks after the deadliest attack in Israel’s history. Shelling and air strikes continued into Saturday, albeit with reduced intensity. In a separate statement, the Israeli military announced the killing of Asem Abu Rakaba, the chief of Hamas air attacks, who played a key role in the October 7 attacks that triggered the ongoing conflict.
