On June 23, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) executed the third and final test of its Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) Landing Experiment in Chitradurga, Karnataka. The vehicle, named Pushpak, was released from a Chinook helicopter at 4.5 km altitude and autonomously landed on a runway despite challenging wind and release conditions. This test validated the RLV’s advanced guidance systems and demonstrated its ability to land precisely under high-speed conditions. The mission showcased ISRO’s capability to reuse flight systems, marking a significant step towards developing cost-effective reusable space vehicles.
