Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to visit Qatar on June 30 for talks with Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and energy sectors. This visit follows Qatar’s release of eight Indian Navy personnel earlier this year, who were previously sentenced to death. The agenda includes reviewing bilateral relations encompassing political, economic, security, cultural, and people-to-people ties, alongside addressing regional issues such as ongoing developments in West Asia, including Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
