The commission’s investigation revealed practices by Google that hindered fair competition in the advertising sector, particularly in keyword-targeted search advertising services. These alleged restrictions, imposed over a span of more than seven years, have constrained Yahoo Japan’s competitiveness, following its collaboration with Google in 2010.
