Reliance Jio introduced the JioPhone Prima 4G, a feature phone equipped with smartphone-like features, at the India Mobile Congress 2023. Expected to release around Diwali, the phone briefly appeared on Reliance Digital and JioMart, priced at Rs 2,599, although the official confirmation is pending. The device, running on KaiOS, boasts a 2.4-inch TFT display, keypad input, and apps like WhatsApp, YouTube, JioPay (UPI), JioTV, and more. Powered by an ARM Cortex A53 processor, it features a 0.3MP camera, 512MB RAM, microSD slot (up to 128GB), 1800mAh battery, and Bluetooth 5.0. Additionally, Jio introduced satellite-based broadband services, JioSpaceFiber, aiming to provide high-speed and affordable internet across India’s previously inaccessible areas.
