Juventus announced on June 3 that they have mutually agreed to terminate the contract of coach Massimiliano Allegri, effective at the end of the season. Allegri was dismissed on May 17 after an outburst during the Italian Cup final win over Atalanta. Despite winning the Cup on May 15, his conduct led to an investigation by football authorities. Allegri, who led Juventus to 12 trophies in two spells and had a contract until 2025, will be succeeded by Thiago Motta, who guided Bologna to fifth place and Champions League qualification. The club thanked Allegri for his contributions and wished him well in future endeavors.
