The trial run of Kerala’s inaugural double-decker train, the Coimbatore-Bengaluru Uday Express, took place between Coimbatore and Palakkad via Pollachi. Scheduled ahead of its official launch, the service aims to address train shortages on the electrified route while offering another Bengaluru-bound option. Departing from Coimbatore at 8 a.m., the train reached Palakkad Junction at 11.05 a.m. and Palakkad Town Railway Station at 11.25 a.m.
